No. Most employer-sponsored group medical plans are composite rated. Composite-rated health plans have a set monthly premium for Employee only, Employee & spouse, Employee & children, and Family coverage. The monthly rate does not vary by age or gender.
Do my employees have to complete individual health applications to get a quote for an employer-sponsored group medical plan?
If you have 5 or more employees enrolling, Livan Agency can provide a firm underwritten medical quote without individual health applications. All you need to provide is census information for all employees and dependents who will be covered under the plan.
Does my household income affect the cost of my health insurance?
No. Unlike individual marketplace medical plans, the monthly premium for employer-sponsored group medical plans is not affected by household income. Plus, premiums are locked in for 12 months.
