The Livan Story

Welcome! My name is Cory Matt, and I am an Employee Benefits Specialist with more than a decade of experience helping businesses design and manage employee benefits programs. Since 2015, I have been dedicated to creating customized benefits solutions that support employees while helping employers attract, retain, and care for top talent.

Prior to entering the employee benefits industry, I spent more than 20 years working in sales and operations for a family-owned business. That experience provided me with firsthand insight into the challenges and priorities faced by small and midsize business owners. Today, I combine that business perspective with my passion for employee advocacy to develop benefits strategies that balance employee needs with organizational goals.

At The Livan Agency, we partner with Legacy Brokers to provide clients access to a broad network of insurance carriers and benefit options. This allows us to deliver competitive, tailored solutions designed to meet the unique needs of each business and its workforce.

I have spent most of my life in the Kansas City metropolitan area, where I attended Rockhurst University and met my wife of more than 30 years. Family is at the center of everything I do. Outside of work, you'll often find me cheering on my high school-aged son at sporting events, enjoying a round of golf with my older son, or attending Kansas City Chiefs games with my family. In fact, we've proudly earned the Chiefs' coveted Tailgate of the Week honor twice!

Our home is also kept lively by our four furry family members—two Goldendoodles and two adopted cats.
